Folks,
I used Bob Dively Model Aircraft liquid masking film to mask off a vista dome for repainting. I covered the "glass" sections of the vista dome as per the instructions on the bottle and spray painted the supports. I am having a considerable amount of trouble removing the residue of the liquid masking film. Most of it has come off, but it has left behind an uneven and unsightly residue that has thus far proven impossible to remove. I tried soaking the piece in water as per the bottle instructions and then burnishing with both basswood and plastic dowels with no appreciable effect. I also tried GooGone and nail polish remover with no improvement either. Anybody out there have any experience with this product and able to provide any tips? Thanks.
