A few weeks ago Several Long Island model RR clubs organized a modular Train event to benefit the Special Olympics and the Nassau County Executive was so impressed he invited the clubs to participate this past weekend at another event. Here on LI the Nassau County Parks department Maintains the Old Bethpage Restoration Village very similar to what you would see in Colonial Williamsburg and for the weekends surrounding Christmas they hold Candlelight village celebrations. Three train clubs participated and the layouts were displayed in the main Administration building. My club which also maintains a modular layout was there along with the LI Traction Society and HOTrack. Here are some photos I took of the event. BTW approx 3,000 people attended this weekend
