Modifying the Lionel B&O Tool Car
This tool car from Lionel is a very basic model that can be modified to improve appearance and running qualities. The first modification is a replacement of the plastic trucks with cast metal sprung trucks and couplers. The next improvement is a floor and a modified roof.
The attached photo shows the model with new sprung trucks. The removable roof has been modified (door guides removed).
