I always power on the layout, including the TIUs, and then the remote. However, it really makes no difference at all.
For Legacy you have to power the base first, but as Barry says, for DCS it doesn't seem to make any difference.

I always power the transformers & TIU's from the same industrial Multi plug switch, then I power up the Hand held remote controls. As stated with DCS it makes no difference. Nice to now know it does matter with TMCC/Legacy, thanks for the knowledge Guns. Guns can I plug the Legacy 990 into the same Ind Multi Plug bar and have it come on at the same time with my Transformers and TIU or do I need to turn the legacy on before the rest of the Transformers and TIU's?
