PS-2 Sound files downloads from MTH website (Protosounds 2)

Hi, Thank's for the add! I am going to the MTH website (Download sound files) and can download PS-3 sound files just fine, but when i try to download ANY PS-2 sound file be it 3.0 volt or 7.8 volt they WON'T download! The PS-2 downloads open as a bunch of characters and i can only SAVE AS a TXT file.The PS-3 sound files download as ZIP files! I don't know what i am doing wrong as i am doing the exact same thing for both types! (One works- One not). I know how to change the sound files in the engines, and have so many times. I am using the 5.0 v loader program, and 5.0 v on TIU and Remote. I need some help! Thanks, Fred w. Schulz P.S. The v 5.0 loader program won't recognize the PS-2 sound files as MTH programs after i save them as TXT files.

You need to configure your browser or get a better browser. When I click on a sound file with Firefox, I get a nice prompt...

For IE, you have to right click on it and select the Save target as... prompt and you'll get the file.

Thank you, Your info worked for me, and i now can download ALL the files i want! I just changed a Milwaukee Road Proto 2 Bi Polar E-4 to a Christmas theme electric. Very Cool!!!!. Fred W. Schulz II

A search would give you your answer, but yes. Only 5V Files into 5V engines, only 3V files into PS-2 3V engines, 3V or PS-3 into PS-3 engines. With one other caveat. Larger 2Meg 3V files will only fit into a 3V board with 2Meg memory. The loader will not let you load the wrong file. G

Yes, as long as both are PS2 engines are of the same type, i/e., both are either 5 volt PS2 board or 3 volt PS2 board.
