This farmnhouse existed in Robeson County NC near Fairmont. It was my wifes Grandfathers 2nd farmhouse, it was built in 1890 and torn down 2009, The original farmhouse (no pictures to be found yet) was destroyed around the time of WWI when her Grandfather enlisted in the Army to fight the Germans. Almost all the Indian boys at that time enlisted. This photo taken during the demolition , the barn and chicken coop and smokehouse long gone, but have some pictures of those. My wife is secretly hoping i can build a copy of the farmhouse. got the windows, the doors, got the siding from evergreen, still looking for shingles. i think i got the skill, think anyway
but the shingles offered so far are split wooden types, my wife just does not remember but they look like plain old shingles to me. that is tobacco growing in the back, and yeah i got tobacco plants, they are HO scale but if i double up and not put the flower on them they just look like normal tobacco plants but young and i already got the tobacco barn
need the right kind of shingles
