At least considering that this is the OGR forum, co-founded by the guy who runs the engine, BUUUUUT I'm curious what rolling stock, primarily passenger cars, did the Nickel Plate Road 765 pull on its numerous excursion runs?

I have in mind that it did have the Norfolk & Western auxiliary water tender, as well as the Conrail and Pennsylvania ES44AC heritage units, but the passenger cars are very fuzzy...

Thomas:

If you are thinking about the three public trips from Lewistown to Horsehoe Curve in May 2013; there were a combination of NS office car fleet coaches as well as cars owned by Mid-America.  Additionally, I recollect Dover Harbor and Franklin Inn being among the private cars on the train.

I believe there were two or three Budd domes and at least one full length dome car in the train.  One of the Budds was in the NP scheme and a second was simply Mid-America.

Edit - I notice SJC posted photos while I was typing.  Dover Harbor is the last car in the train and Franklin Inn is in at least one of the photos.  It is the PRR car.
