I would love to see lionel make this set. I know Mth does but somthing seems weird looking for some reason with the engine. If this was made I would definitely buy one.

I agree on all accounts. While MTH seems to produce a good variety of everything, I have always wondered why Lionel seems to steer clear of certain models or railroads. Not meant to be a knock on Lionel, I'm just curious about the two different business strategies and how they work for each company.
I'm in the "let's see a Genesis" camp as well. I have a couple of the MTH RailKing ones, but I'd like a scale one with TMCC/Legacy. I may end up building one from a conventional set, but it would be nice to get one "off the shelf".
I like the idea. Specifically, I would like Lionel Vision Line scale Genesis locomotive with a proper Nathan K5LA horn sound set, and 21 inch Superliner cars to go with it.
I'd like a lot of things, but I'd start with a Legacy Genesis first, I can use some of my fifteen or so Amtrak cars with it.
