Everything seemed fine. Pressed rear coupler and a “z” no sound now. Tried “R” reset and assigned new number. Everything fine but no sound. Turned alt vol and reg vol all the way up. They replaced the RSL4 and LCP3 boards. Back to Lionel is my best guess.

Does this one have a sound pot in the tender? Maybe they turned it all the way down? I know Lionel has stopped adding these as of late.
Have your tried placing the tender on the track by itself and powering it up to see if sounds come on?
No volume pot in these
Have you tried running it with Bluetooth to see if maybe it’s something odd going on with that. I seem to remember another member had a similar volume issue. Worth a shot. Use the sound menu there.
