3482 Milk Car Return Spring

Normally Olsens library is a good reference. Most of it is the Lionel factory service station documentation, with some custom information added by them.

Right now it is partially off line.

If you don't get an answer soon, I will look up the information in a paper copy of the service manual.

The part number is 3482-25 and it is not available. You'll need to rob one from a bad mechanism.

S&W has them for 50 cents .

He could use 3472-21 and Jeff at Train Tender has them for .50 cents.

Hi All,

I was not sure if the 3472-21 would work on the 3482 because the selenoid plunger shaft is so much larger in diameter (I don't think the washer will fit, maybe not necessary on the 3482?)

I was not sure if the action return spring even mounts the same way...

I should have a 3472-21...let me see if I can find it!
