AC6000 runs manually with Legacy off. I follow regular startup (power up Legacy, CTC on remote, power up track, ENG, 1, AC6000 appears in window, hit startup button, nothing).
Only the number boards are lit. Track voltage OK. Any suggestions?
I know this has been discussed before but I've been out of the loop for medical reasons.

Is it truly ENG 1? Try reprogramming the ID.

Have you tried setting it as a new number like Marty inquired? I don't set any engines as either #1 or #99 What's the Lionel item number?
I think most users typically set the Legacy engine ID to the first 2 numbers of the locomotive's road number. Easy to remember. You can also use the last 2 numbers if the first two are already in use by another engine.
Or the middle two...or any two...
I finally got the CSX AC6000 going on Legacy as #99. Now having difficulty with K-Line TMCC American Freedom Train- no go at all. Like new/maybe new.

If it runs on #99, did you try it on #1? Maybe the RUN/PGM switch isn't working and you can't assign the ID.

Correct, which is why it obviously runs, the ID wouldn't mean anything. My suggestion is to try it on #1 and see if it was never moved from the factory default.
