K-Line used hot glue for their passengers in the aluminum passenger cars, so I have been using it.

In the Lionel 2016 Volume 2 catalog, on page 71, they are featuring a set of passengers that can be inserted into their new 21" cars.

It is a pack of 24 figures for $29.99 and the model number is 6-83653. Lionel calls it "21" Scale Figure Pack."

I enjoyed the video.  I bought the set of MTH unpainted figures.   After painting a dozen, like you, I decided to devote my modeling time to something I actually enjoy.   Leave the figure painting to the wargame hobbyists.  I have painted some Artistta figures since they have much better detail and are in foreground locations, not tucked away in passenger cars.

One other suggestion is to dullcote the passengers before installing them.  The shiny faces and clothing can be distracting.

Nice video Eric.

I hope that you will do one for an Atlas CZ dome car I the near future.

Thank you.

Excellent suggestion. The Atlas CZ passenger cars are definitely NOT easy to disassemble, even after Atlas offered a video on how to do it!

Right you are. I've actually done quite a few of my Atlas CZ cars, and they are not as easy as the Lionel. Disassembly is a little more tricky and there are LOTS of amputations needed to make the figures fit. But, on the other hand, the CZ cars are wonderful. I may shoot a video on that or do it in a live show at some point. Didn't want to scare anyone off in this first round!

Thanks!

Good suggestion. Thanks!

OK, you got me.  I do hate to clean up all the webs left after I do a car, but I so love the convenience of hot glue!   I've also used RTV in some cars, that was neater and is also something that can be removed if you find it necessary.

I liked those cars in your video, the space under the table makes it easy to put most figures in.  The MTH Premier cars that I have a lot of are a lot tighter, and I have to do a lot of surgery on the figures.  I also noticed that those cars seem to have higher windows, I have to use smaller figures in the MTH cars or the heads are totally out of view.  What do the coaches in that set look like as far as seating, usually my guys lose their feet before being seated.
