Apple iPhone and wiu issue

Hello all,

I am pretty proficient with DCS and the wiu.  However since my iPhone updated, I cannot run my trains on “MTH” mode via my phone for DCS.  This is more of an iPhone problem than a DCS issue.

Since the iOS update, the iPhone will NOT let you stay connected to a Wi-Fi signal that doesn’t have an internet connection.  I was able to fix it by connecting my Wi-Fi to the home network but it is not the point.

Does anyone know the iPhone iOS 15 workaround to stay connected to the Wiu via the MTH mode (its own network)?

One possible fix- turn on airplane mode while trying to run trains. The idea being you are turning off the cellular and thus cellar data network connection. Second part of this would be to then go back to your network settings. there is an auto join slider for each wifi network. Disable it for the one that isn't your WIU. In other words, the only self joining automatic connection is the WIU DCS SSID based network. Then it won't keep trying to join the other networks.
