A friend of mine is thinking about installing a shelf to create a small Gilbert Flyer S gauge display (not for running, just displaying some track, cars with lights such as searchlight flats and lit accessories like lamp posts). Between us we have no S gauge track on hand, and my friend needs to know the distance when a switch and curved section of track are put together as illustrated below:

 

If a Flyer fan could provide the measurement we'd appreciate it!

Hi,

I have some cut down AF switches that would allow 3 tracks in 7".   I ended up modifying S Helper switches for my layout so don't need these and would send them your way for the cost of shipping.  Might need some jumper wires and decorating to hide the cuts.  See photo.
