A few months ago I bought a new Atlas PS3 P42. This week I finally put power to my new layout and couldn’t wait to get many pieces of equipment on the layout that have been put away for years. My layout is wired for DCS only and since I just started the layout I have not insulated any sidings. On 2 separate occasions while the P42 was sitting on a siding shut down it would start up on its own and immediately start moving at I would say 20 SMPH or so. Neither time was caused by a short or manual voltage change at the transformer. The first instance I can’t recall if I gave another loco a command but the second there was a clear correlation. I formed a lash up between 2 locos, neither of which were the P42 and it was not started up at the time either. Once the formed the lash up both locos started up normally and did not move but at the same time the P42 started up and began moving in forward. I had 4 other locos on the same siding as the P42 and were all off when this happened, both instances only the P42 started. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated! The P42 is still under warranty for what that’s worth.
