Attached are several photos of the Tyler Ford dealership I've been working on. It started life as a Walthers Krazy Ken's car dealer kit that I painted and detailed the interior. It needed authentic signage so for inspiration I did an internet photo search on vintage car dealerships. A Pinterest photo of the Gilmore Car Museum's (Hickory Corners, MI.) Ford Model A exhibit building caught my eye as it had PARTS, DEALER, and SERVICE signs similar to the raised panels on the model. Looking for a higher resolution photo of the building I called the museum and spoke with Brittany Williams , their Collections Manager. She was very helpful and kindly emailed me a photo of the buildings upper facade. My computer nimble granddaughter Ashley used Photoshop to extract, change perspective, resize, and adjust the hue of the images. The signs were printed on matte photo paper and glued to the building. The oval hanging Ford sign was "borrowed" from a Department 56 Snow Village building I had. To complete the scene I plan to scratch a service building, add more cars, and string a line of pennants over the lot.
