I am looking for a
AUTOMATIC BACK AND FORTH unit for AC powered trains to run a set of MTH subway cars as a back and fourth shuttle train. Do you know of any company that sell this item ?

Install Instructions it talks about a required 12 ft of track, we got it to work at 8 ft.
Pictures of the parts assembled on a small board to be used with the Fort Pitt Hi-Railers Modular layout.
The Lionel 153IR can be used to cut power on the center rail and a timed delay. The power cut should activate the E-Unit and change direction.
It needs to stand next to the track somewhere, so the Dallee may work for you if you don't want to see them. The 153IR is a very simple installation.
Basically, costs the same.
FYI: Z-Stuff also makes an auto reverse unit. I've used it for trolley operation.

If you have dcs or Lionel legacy the option to have your train go back and forth is built in to the system.

What he said! That's if you have either system and the trolly or subway has that feature as well.
