That was the most disorganized train show I have ever been to.
It started with the mess at the tables selling tickets. What was
the price? The flier had $3.00 but I paid $4.00. The show was so spread
out with tables in halls and in rooms on two different levels. There was
some attempt to keep different gages in different rooms but there are
very few sellers with only one gage. The school parking lot was very poorly
marked with direction arrows too far apart and so faded that nobody followed
any direction.
Great Show! Wow it was packed!!!!
Never seen such a huge crowd. I should have gotten a table. Lots of kids!
Lots of great stuff for sale.
A few oops for future reference: parking was tight, and who put the vendors on the jogging track and let everyone enter from both ends? I was stuck up there for 20 minutes!
The back two rooms were missed by many. It was a real mouse maze to figure where everything was at.

Otherwise it was a good show.

Oh and I was charged 3 dollars to enter.
PA, sorry you did not enjoy the show. Apparently most of the 3,800 other attendees did as we received lots of positive feedback. Was the show perfect? NO. Fisrt year in a new building and we have items to work out. FYI, we did not attempt to place vendors based on what they were selling - that is nearly impossible when trying to accomodate all the various requests (need electric, wants an end cap, can I be placed next to Joe, etc). We do our best and try to improve every year.

Next year, we'll run shuttles to help out with the parking. We may or may not use the track next year (possibly run indoor train rides on the track for the kids). We had maps located throughout the building and volunteers stationed all throughout the building to assit attendees with finding their way around. Most of our vendors were very happy.

Admission was $3 with numerous signs posted indicating that.

Special thanks to The Glancy folks for setting up their layout. It was a HUGE success.

That track was my only complaint for this years show (as I didn't have to stand in the blob of a line at the start of the show since I was running trains with the glancy club). Every time somebody stopped to look at something up there, they held everybody up. It's just too narrow of a space to have vendors set up and lines of people.

My dad also mentioned that the ticket line could have gone much faster had you guys moved the tables 4 ft away from the windows so people buying tickets at that end, didn't have to cut through two lines of people just to get into the show.

Other than that, I had a lot of fun. The Glancy layout had a huge crowd around it all day (I had a hard time finding open places to crawl out from under the layout to go look around)
