Well I had my soldering gun out from last nights successful Thomas the tank engine repair and decided to try and fix our Beep problem too.  We had trouble with our Beep stalling on our switches.  When running two Beeps one would stall while the other pushed and then they would get out of sequence.  The solution, tether the Beeps pickup rollers together between the two units.  The Beeps work well together as an MU should.

Enjoy the video.

I did the same on some of mine four or five years ago, tethering both center and outer wires between units and it works wonders all around, on switches and just on really low-speed smoothness.  But RMT added tethers to all its BEEPs a few years ago, around the time they brought the BEEPS out, so its not a problem with the newer units.  The fact that they added them means, I think, its the right thing to do what you did to an older one.
