Picked up these PRR ore cars by RMT for a very good price. RMT does a real nice job on these ore cars. Even though I bought each one seperately I still managed to end up with consecutive road numbers.
The Bethlehem Steel Sparrows Point ore cars are also RMT and I've had those for a while.
I needed to add some music to my trainroom, so I bought a Lionel Radio Station, and now I have Music....It’s a cool blue tooth accessory.....

For my Texas Special 15" "roll my own" project, I purchased, from North Lima Train Works, the LIONEL "Palm Leaf" sleeper shell and interior. TS operated a number of sleepers; and, I purchased O scale TS decals on eBay for this and some other "new" cars for the consist.

A few shots of the interior and shell mated with a glimpse of the decals. Good news on the eBay sourced decals--they have lots of prototype car names and numbers in the correct font; and, they are sized to fit on the name boards LIONEL used.
Golden Gate Depot's. "Silver Meteor" 6 car set powered with Lionel E8's.
Added a P40DC (soon to be repainted as Phase IV Heritage unit #184) and a Dash-8 to the fleet. Slow progress but I hope to get where I want to be soon.
Picked up a older model Lionel Kansas City Southern Legacy SD70ACe - #4050. It is from 2008 and I got it off eBay at a reasonable price. I like that it has road number specific Railsounds.

Picked up this MTH Railking Santa Fe caboose at my LHS.
Yes. A very cool piece I picked up today at the Allentown (Pennsylvania) Train Show. Good price, too. Lionel 1930s Mickey Mouse Hand Car, with Minnie providing half of the power.
Bought these from our friends north of the border, the Royal Canadian Mint... really cool. The three coins (app. 1 ounce silver with gold accents) are:

Last year, I signed up for email/newsletters from Mr. Muffins. A week or so ago I received one of their regular emails with some interesting sale items. Got these beauties from USPS today... always wanted something from Maersk as well as some tank containers. Got both in one purchase - thanks Steve (@MrMuffin’sTrains).
Went to a local, small train show yesterday and the only thing I saw that I REALLY wanted was a Lionel 763 but $900 was beyond my budget. Finally picked up a nice 675 at a decent price. Also the seller is going to fix two Standard motors for me. Later we went to some antique shops in New Oxford, saw some trains but didn't buy anything. There was an Ives Standard gauge set in nice shape with some nice light poles and fencing but too much $$. Saw a set with a very nice 726 & 3 Madison heavyweights, all with 2625 numbers and a nice 681 Turbine.
I just picked up two WW2 uniforms from the 746 R.O.B, with a photo album.

I believe it's a destination board, with signs you can raise and lower to tell where you're train is heading. Almost exclusivly german, and I'm ecstatic I got one for such a cheap price.
I believe it is supposed to be mounted on the base centered at the front of the image.
The fence-like object I believe might be a crossing, the crank on the right end of it showing that it was able to be raised and lowered manually, unlike American ones (Notably Marx) that were raised by the weight of a train pushing on a tab under the tracks.
The house with the bell to the right of the Destination board might go with the track at the bottom, and is activated by a tab next to the rail that is pushed down when the trains flanges push it
The strange object to the left of the destination board might be a gas-powered street lantern, missing the lantern part of it. Which would be amazing if that were the case, which I believe it might be.
And the little house in the right corner is just that, a small signal is supposed to go in the hole on the corner of the base.
This will go well with my Bing GNR Locomotive and coach
Cool. I think Ive seen the destination board frame (or similar) used to make up a tell tale. A dest. board hadn't come to mind.
A lamp would be cooler than a load derrick. I was just looking at acetylene lamps. I never thought about the gas source because of bottled gasses being so common today. The acetylene gas generator is an ingenious little device...drip water on carbide 😏 slick. I would have expected a parrafin, candle, or oil burner though.
Offseason for most, but it's the only theme we have going on our railroad, so here is the latest engine - Lionel 6-11381- Christmas Conventional Scale 0-4-0 Steam Switcher #12. Auction item from Trainz on Sunday and got it today. Clean, runs as it should, smokes, and good sound.
I prefer to run DCS and Legacy, but I did pick up a Legacy Powermaster to attach to 1 loop so I could run a few conventional items I still have like the Polar Express and Christmas Docksider, and now this switcher. Looks good out in front of a few pieces of scale North Pole Central rolling stock.
I have one of those North Pole Central #12. It is a real nice looking and running engine
Picked up my last locomotive. I've run out of room on my layout for any more and I don't keep locomotives in boxes or on shelves, so unless I sell one this is it. Anyways it's a MTH Premier Santa Fe 2-10-4 Texas with PS2 3V. I got it pretty much brand new for a little less than half of the MSRP from 14 years ago. Runs great on 072 and 054 curves. It's pretty massive and awesome all at the same time.
Received the LIONEL 6-11711 Santa Fe F-3 ABA set I purchased in the recent Stout Auction. Haven't tested them, but did unbox the set and they are beauties and show exceptionally little evidence of use. They look like they could have been painted yesterday. I'll have photos up this week-end. And sell them quickly, I hope here or on the 'Bay.
Backstory: I made what I thought was a low ball bid on this (and several other items) which ended up "winning." Super nice set, just not something I want to keep--though it's so nice I'm seriously tempted. Provided some entertainment interest in the auction.
Lou, The Texas is very massive for sure! That looks like a great deal to me. I am the same as you, I like to keep mine out running.

Nice, kind of like to fine one if correct road number for one of the 10 or 12 loaned/leased to the Pennsy during the mid-50's when the eastern roads had a power shortage for all the tonnage they need to move then.

Picked this one up off eBay last week. Converted it to scale wheels and Kadees yesterday at the club. I missed out on these during the first go-round and have picked up six of the offerings. I have no clue how many there were, but they're interesting conversation pieces.

I purposely didn't build shelves/storage space when I built my layout. That way I make sure I really want something before I buy it, otherwise it won't fit. Plus I save money, as I don't have to fill a bunch of empty shelves 😁.

Thanks. Plus it's nice to know how much stuff I have simply by looking at my layout. I have 9 locomotives. That's plenty.
I like having enough to enjoy in my spare time. I have an old Ford Thunderbird. I wanted to get another one but realized early on I could have one nice car or two that were ok but never finished. I applied the same philosophy to trains. I can have a few nice pieces or a bunch of stuff that's just ok. The old adage of quality over quantity.
