Howdy all, picked up a (what seller was saying) new never-run M1 a couple days ago, and am having some fun issues out of box with it. (PN 20-21056-1)

Issue A. - Speaker/Board giving off a high-pitched whine, and a static crinkly noise coming from speaker. Starts happening about a minute after power is applied, haven't had this happen before so not sure where to start with it

Issue B. Unit runs very sluggish-iy (will jolt stop/start at low speeds) (This may just need me to pull the motor off and grease it as it's probably dried out, already greased the outside gears)

Issue C. Unit seems to short going counter-clockwise, I'm unable to pinpoint where it may be shorting at, wondering if there are any good places to check on it

Attached is video of static occurring

Wheels ........................clean and shiny.                                 Pickup rollers....................clean and shiny and rotate and their mounting screws tight.                                           Track ...........................clean and shiny.   Good power.      Pickup wires and screws .............................tight.               Internal wires................................no evidence of pinching or loose connections.

  Any evidence of hot spots on the boards ?

This appears to be a ps3 engine  ( 20-21056 ) there shouldn't be any batteries to worry about.    Also it would be a newer speaker , probably no flaking of the metal finish to cause problems.

Hey @GGG ,

Audio does work (I'll upload another video once I get a chance). Once track power is applied, regardless if engine sounds are on or not, the static starts after about 45s to a minute

@Dallas Joseph

I'll double check connections on it, has me scratching my head as it's 4 sets of connections to the wheels / rollers that go through the frame, and none of them are pinched. Will do some wiring checks to validate the condition of them (lots of tiny wires bundled together is a nightmare to deal with)
