I've been waffeling for years about buying a track cleaning car, had many offers, recommendations, etc but never went for it. I think the Centerline one is the one I like best and am ready to buy one.

I'm using Lionel Tubular (0-27 style) with one loop of 0-42 curves and another of 0-27. Switches are Ross and Lionel 0-27.

Does anyone have any negative opinions/experiences on it on those curves, track and switches? Is the car much wider than a standard freight car or are the dimensions comparable.

Thanks!

I've had an S Scale version since 1999 and have used it on code 100 scale track, code 148 American Models track, code 127 S Helper track and traditional Flyer track with no problems.

Soak the roller with Goo-Gone and after three orbit's (my arbitrary number) you're done.

We were displaying once when a smoke unit leaked all over the tracks and the Flyer 0-8-0 would slip to almost a stall.  We put the Centerline car in front of the locomotive and when it hit the cleaned section of track, it took off like a bat out of... well, you know where.
