Contactiing TCA York for information

And the simple question I want answered is : What electronic devices are/are not allowed in what halls or no devices period anywhere period.  Wife and I use non-cellular handi talkies to communicate finds at shows.  Are these allowed?

Should add this do/don't items to the York FAQ section for first time attendees.  Save hassles, disappointments, embarrassments, problems at the hall door(s).

Since cell phones are allowed in all halls, I would assume your "handi talkies" would be ok. The only electronic devices not allowed, as far as I know, are cameras in the member (non dealer) halls.

RRman, this info has been posted on this forum for a few years now. Cell phones OK in every building anywhere on the Fairgrounds. Photo taking everywhere in the dealer halls and of the layouts where found including the member halls otherwise no pics in the member halls. There is no public WiFi at this point. The Fairgrounds would provide WiFi but it would increase the cost and given the resistence to fee increases its unlikely to happen.

The contact links on the contact page are designed to pop up in your default email program.  Places do this to make it more difficult for spammers to use 'bots to harvest email addresses.  Most browsers will display the email addresses somewhere on the screen (often on the bottom of the window) if you hover the pointer over the link, and if you right-click on the link, you can usually get to the email address by looking at the Properties, or some browsers will even give the option of copying the embedded email address so that you can paste it into your email program.  In any case, the email address of the meet chairman is: meetchair@easterntca.com

Thank you for your replies.  Pete, as far a wifi, no danger there, all I have is a dumb cell phone to make/receive calls.  Not savvy enough to know how to use a smart phone. But guess it can't be too hard as I see 80+ year olds using them, though no sure what I could use it for that I can't get from my desk top.  Not to start a thread off topic here.

You had gone to the wrong website.  You need to look at the TCA Eastern Division website.  All the information you seek is listed on the York Meet Notice that is mailed to all members prior to the meet for registration.  If you don't get one for some reason, it's listed on the Eastern Division site.
