My favorite subway car model. I rode the first revenue train on Monday, September 14, 1964 from the Sheepshead Bay Station to the end of their run at 57th St. and 7th Av. The remaining 200 or so cars have been in service now for 50 years. I asked Bill Wall who runs the vintage trains for the transit museum if he could run a set for the 50th anniversary. His reply was I don't think that the transit authority would want to advertise that they still run trains that are 50 years old but as soon as the last of the

R-32s are retired from service then we will run a set for the transit museum.
