This high quality Austrian built machine is the ultimate in compact high-precision, super-accurate machine tools. The bed is made from a solid casting, so there are no vibrations when cutting. You can still get parts and accessories for these.
My price is $850.00, including shipping. If you compare that with eBay prices for Unimat 3 athes in similar condition, and with comparable accessories, this is a deal. I prefer Paypal (Friends and Family).
I purchased this new and have used it regularly ever since. It is in excellent, fully functional, mechanical condition. It has just been taken apart, cleaned, lubricated, reassembled, and tuned. All carriages (including the one for the mill and the tailstock) operate smoothly and precisely with minimal backlash and virtually no side to side play. The headstock can be adjusted to run at 8 spindle speeds: of 130, 200, 350, 560, 920, 1500, 2450 and 4000 rpm. The standard 3-jaw headstock chuck can hold up to 0.866" in diameter in the inside jaws - and up to 1.968" in the outside jaws.
Changing from lathe to milling/drilling operations takes a few minutes. Overall footprint is 18” by 10,” so it won’t take up too much room on your workbench. It weighs about 25 pounds, so it’s transportable. Without the mill attachment it is about 6” high. The mill attachment brings the height to about 12.”
The lathe runs on 120 Volts AC.
