I have the MTH Christmas lighting G-5 with matching passenger cars. This year while setting them up two cars had LED issues on green lights came on. Upon further inspection I found the small wire loops on some cars is very tight, this with vibration can remove the hair thin insulation on the hair thin LED light wires.  Once you find and correct this (simply by moving the LED wires) take the shell of the passenger car off and remove that wire loop. I use Crafters pick glue, it goes on white and dries crystal clear. I put a dab on and let it dry, holds the wire to the body and insulates the wire. I dab it on all the remaining wire loops and on the end of the cars to protect where this hair thin wire goes into the car. Same thing on the engine and tender, only thing is I use it to tighten up the wires as they have much more slack on these diecast pieces.
