Has anyone used it? I only need it four inches high. Can it be easily cut? How? Photos welcome.....

Very easy to cut with a new xacto or carpet blade. You can bend some pretty tight curves. The flex rock is a good product too.

So it might be easier than trying to cast individual pieces out of hydrocal and placing them in plaster?
Yes...much easier.

I'm not sure what you need, but Micro-Mark has some flexible stone wall in different styles and colors that are very easy to cut with an exacto knife. It is about 1/8 inch thick and self adhesive. It is very good looking.
Wow, I just looked it up and it really fits the bill well. Not sure what size is appropriate as there is a HO/O size and a O/LGB size.
Flexi-wall from the Scenic Express site.
Scenic Express flex wall. It's great stuff - nice rock detail - deeper than the detail you get in that other 1/8" thick material IMO. It bends easily to reasonable curves.
