I am looking for source for car kits. After buy many RTR cars I have realized what I miss is building my own. I especially would like to have some of the older kits like All Nations or Ambroid. I have been looking on Ebay but very few seemed to be offered or over priced. 2-rail meets are just too far away for me to attend but I am sure there are other source for kits. Any suggestions. David

David,
We are in the middle of liquidating the collection from Lou Cross. We have Athearn, All-Nation, Ambroid, Lobaugh, Gloor Craft, the list goes on.
Let me know if you have specific kits in mind.
Jay
Jay, if you have an Ambroid Pennsy X-23 box car and if David is not interested, I would be. Thanks, Jim

Jay,
What kind of Lobaugh kits are available? I have most of the gondolas and tank cars and a couple of flat car kits and would like another flat car kit if there is one available.
Thanks,
Joe Foehrkolb
Keep eyes peeled for sand cast "Erie-Built" sides and noses. Lou and Gene sort of got me started in collecting doorstop Diesels.
Jay. I am interested in lobaugh kits . Please keep me in mind for any not spoken for
Thanks Franky-Ogee
Bob,
Nothing yet and I believe I would have noticed them. I know what you like and if I find anything I can tease you with, you know, I will.
As far as the older kits, we really haven't created a full inventory yet (there are hundreds, if not thousands. I'm going to get together with Bob Jakl (the kits are being stored at his house in Mariposa) and see about coming up with some spreadsheets. We did this for all the brass in preparation for OSW but didn't have time to deal with the kits. I will post an update in a week or two.
At that time we'll probably need to move this to the buy & sell section of the forum.

Wow.....'hundreds if not thousands" of kits! I know there are a few guys in front of me....but.... I'd love any Lobaugh kit....tankers, box cars, flats....can't wait to see the complete list......Tom
I'd love to get a copy of that spreadsheet when you get it finished, Jay. I've got the urge to build another kit.
Any American Standard 3410?
Love to see the spreadsheet when done.
Ken
Wow! I love to see that list when it is ready as well.
Ken,
We have six American Standard 3410 kits.
