Have been talking with MTH and Atlas on freight car special runs.  These will be available in 3 rail AND 2 rail, including the MTH cars

Just arrived...The Atlas Pink grain elevator PS4750 covered hopper cars are here. they are very nice.  Not finished invoicing for pre-orders yet, but they are up on the web.

Atlas....GATX 8000 gallon tank cars are in the works.  They will arrive with the next batch of 8000 gallon tank cars

Atlas...40' international containers...Dong fang, Pasha, and Yang Ming are in the works, due to arrive with the next batch of 40' containers.

MTH..AFAIK...I am booked for 40' steel side drop bottom gondolas in Maine Central , and 40' wood side drop bottom gondolas in NYO&W.  To follow after that will be drop bottom gondolas in SP&S (large letters) and CE&I (large letters)

MTH..36' woodside reefers......Piels (staten Island) and Ortliebs (Philadelphia) are in the works.

We also still have a lot of special run cars in stock...check it out...

Can caboose special runs be possible ??? Atlas ones are nice but limited types. MTH has nice steel version and some gorgeous wood “cabeese” (?). I’d be thrilled to get plain ol’ brown or red. I’m wanting the hardly ever done Missouri Pacific and Frisco.  I’m sure there are more neglected roads out there. Anyone’s extended vision would be better than nothing but not appropriate for steam / IMO.

Cheers !!!!

Yes, the N6b's and CA-1's are gorgeous. I can see if they become available to do.  There are so many roads that could be done.   I'll talk to MTH about them. I would probably do one or 2 road names, and unlettered (brown?).   Or I could just do unlettered, brown, and unlettered red.   IDK how many ppl still do their own lettering.

But thanks for the suggestion.  I'll follow up in it,

Just Doing one color - Plain brown or red - should help the process I would think. Then it’s just adding on the Road names and numbers. 😬

Beth, have you considered a blue Erie Lackawanna 50 ft. plug door box cars?  They have been done in HO and Lionel MPC produced a traditional version back in the 70s.  The prototype cars were owned or leased by General Mills for dedicated service . I They are quite attractive and may be a good seller as most EL equipment usually is.  You can find examples on the internet and in EL equipment books like Morning Sun publishers.

I think you would have no trouble moving these considering the large number of EL fans in the metropolitan  northeast.

Thanks for reaching out to the forum for ideas.

I'd be in for a MP- any scheme

I would be in on this one also

I know, This one will be slightly different, and actually ive been wanting to do it FOREVER, and I thought u guys sold out....

I was a regular at the the Edison train  show for like 20 years,,,so im familiar with the hi-railers...

thx

I hope its not a copy of my design  We were thinking of rerunning that one

Its pretty east to do a run with 1 road name , and half of the run unlettered.  If i did the offset wood caboose (MTH's CA-1)  in MoPac, , which MP scheme would be most popular.  Red with buzz saw? brown with buzz saw?  Pre-buzz saw? Fee free to post a pic

The MTH CA-1 is a sweet model. I Think it’s at Least close to some MP cabooses. I’d probably prefer brown. I’m not sure when the buzz saw became used but would be glad for with or without buzzsaw. With and without could be offered for different eras. I’d probably end up buying one of each.

We designed the one we previously sold so I hope you are using a completely different design.

As Ben indicated we are planning a second run on our beer cars with different road numbers.

Might be worth a conversation

I was going from a design on a one gauge car...i think it was ROW...   But using "Staten Island, NY" not brooklyn, NY, and different color car.

If u designed that, we can talk.   Im a big "Bert and Harry" (Bob and Ray) fan.  I even have some of their commercials here on 16mm film, and a big "Have lunch with Bert and Harry" advertising piece from the 1960's.

u can email me at pdt212@gmail.com.  Ive been wanting to do something with Bert and Harry for a long time.   I 1st mentioned doign a car like this with rich a LONG time  ago...so u must have designed it a long time ago.  Then I saw that u guys did something similar, so I changed the car colors and some of the lettering, and then started asking rich about it maybe 2 years ago, again.

Im assuming we are talking about the same car..idk.  pls email me.   beth

The blue EL box car should not be a problem.  I'll talk to Atlas.

I'll talk toi MTH about the wood cabooses.  IDK if they will be available to do...as sale of the tooling might be pending.

beth

😳😖😮 Oh that was fun for a few hours.  Rats on the pending sale of the model. That just mean more runs of the same stuff that’s been shoved at us over n over.

????? Is the premier steel caboose still with MTH ???? They did a MP version (only MP caboose for All these years) a Loooonngg time ago and is quite nice.  I’d love to see 2EEDD208-9773-4B8B-BB6C-5566BDE788EA

One of these again.
Actually, after all these years, any would be welcome. ( Well almost / Trainman Bay window MP was pretty poor - IMO)
