I am fortunate in that I live very close to the NCTM, About one and quarter miles by crow or two and quarter miles by car. So it is easy for me to get to these events like the Streamliners, NS Heritage display and 611 events.
As I recall for the Streamliner Event went on last day a Sunday with great weather ( low temps and humidity) and best of all no crowds.
Here are a couple of aerial shots.
611 with in the foreground one of the Redbirds that replace her.
Aerial shot thanks to this flying machine!
That has to be the most awesome way to go rail fanning !!! thanks for the GREAT photos !!
I've gotta try that sometime! really cool...
Awesome photos!

I love your winter layout!! Love the videos of your trains moving thru the winter scenes. What an inspiration for me!! I've always dreamed of a winter layout and perhaps when I give my a layout a total makeover one day, it will be set in winter .... thanks to YOU!! Keep those photos and videos coming!!
Gandydancer 1950 - I appreciate your compliments on my photos and layouts very much! AND I must say that you have quite a fine looking layout yourself!! I always enjoy your photos
Suzukovich, tell me about those NP EMD units. They look just like the ones I used to see when I was a kid here in western Washington.

How did you do that?
Sorry for late response. I wish I DID do that. Just searched "steam engine animated gif", and you will get a bunch of them. Copy n paste into your post. I wanted to put one in my signature, but can't size it down.
And, on an iPad, is hit and miss if it works.
Not to get too far off topic, but this one's kind of exciting
That last one was from a you tube video I belive was a SD90 being delivered in South America

This is a photo of the Frisco local that ran between Oklahoma City and Tulsa Cherokee yard. The engineer in the photo began as a fireman on the AT&SF in OKC. He later worked on the CRI&P in El Reno, OK, and the DRG&W firing the Yampa Valley Mail. All the while, he was waiting for an opening on the Frisco which he obtained about 1977 and has remained to this day as a BNSF engineer. It was an outstanding experience to work with him.

Hey Mike, is that first Lego Gantry crane the black one or the green one? I've got a green one but often see a picture of a black one on e-bay but didn't know if they actually made it in black.

Both cranes are the green ones. Lego has made those supports in different colors.
