nothing better than the real thing, had to be awesome to see in real life, wish i was there !

Briansilvermustang and Gandydancer 1950,

I am fortunate in that I live very close to the NCTM,  About one and quarter miles by crow or two and quarter miles by car.  So it is easy for me to get to these events like the Streamliners, NS Heritage display and 611 events.

As I recall for the Streamliner Event went on last day a Sunday with great weather ( low temps and humidity) and best of all no crowds.

Here are a couple of aerial shots.

Forum member from Mauldin SC, Larry asked me to post these head end shots from his layout. He runs long scale trains. The Atlas GM&O F3 is mine.

I have always liked the looks of the BL2 and would like to own the MTH version of it someday.  I have always thought GE's U50C is much uglier.

My Front End Friday contribution. Thought it look kind of cool with the Steam collecting on the pilot area(if that is the correct term). Unfortunately I can only run this particular engine on the inside loop, because if I try to run it on the outside loop the boiler will hit the false wall that is up.

Yes, I believe it would have because the NYC ran long nose forward.

And a late second entry for today. A new arrival on the RSJ&B.

It's a K-Line S-2 in ATSF black. My second S-2 (the other is a Chessie).

I love your winter layout!! Love the videos of your trains moving thru the winter scenes.  What an inspiration for me!!  I've always dreamed of a winter layout and perhaps when I give my a layout a total makeover one day, it will be set in winter .... thanks to YOU!!  Keep those photos and videos coming!!

Gandydancer 1950 -  I appreciate your compliments on my photos and layouts very much!  AND I must say that you have quite a fine looking layout yourself!!  I always enjoy your photos
