JUST FOR MY INTEREST AND UNDERSTANDING: THIS PARTICULAR STYLE, WITH AC/DC, CONTROLS AND GOOD FOR ACCESSORIES,
WHEN THESE THINGS ARE LEFT ON, THE BOX GETS A LITTLE WARM, AND OFF COURSE THE LEDS, THEN DO NOT COME, ON.
AFTER CUTTING THE TRANSFORMER OFF, AND LEAVING FOR AWHILE, THE LEDS WILL COME BACK ON. ( USUALLY AFTER 2-3 HRS)

WHAT ARE YOU POWERING AND WHAT TRANSFORMER ARE YOU USING? NEED MORE INFO.
SOUNDS LOIKE THE TRANSFORMER IS TOO SMALL FOR WHAT YOU ARE POWERING.
Those leds which I also use should be powered with dc but your transformer may be too small. Although these leds take little current to operate.
Well, that can be pretty easy, I got more to test , with, I'll string me up 4 and
disconnect the others, and test, before reconnect,

They should be on the DC side @ 12v. You would need to have quite a lot connected.
I can light a roll of 300 with a 9v battery.
Connect them in series.
Do you have the specs or product info on those LED's? I am surprised you didn't fry them.

YEP, I just flipped on the DC side, and they are fine ,also, was just planning on adding another set of 4 , later this week, appreciate it

The transformer may get warm just doing it's job, but it shouldn't be hot.

Hard to believe the transformer is too small, those require 20ma each. If it's cutting off, either something else that draws a lot more power is on the circuit or the transformer is defective.
