Just picked up some 40 and 60 watt LED replacement light bulbs. One of the warnings on the package had to do with the potential for them to cause interference with radio waves and TV reception.
That was kind of strange. I wonder if you had a whole house of them would they affect Legacy operation.

Florescent lights can cause interference also. not normally a big problem unless you are an amateur radio operator . (I am)
Many devices produce radio frequencies as a byproduct of its operation. Computers do also. Almost everything That you plug in produces some radio frequency energy. In many cases it is the power supply for the device. "Switching " power supplies are used as the power source in most of these devices. (cheap, light weight and efficient)

I've got some dimmable CFLs in our rec room. If they are dimmed at all (as in not off or all the way on), none of the remotes work for the TV,DVD,etc. Turn them fully on, and everything works again.
Haven't noticed any adverse affects in the train room next door, but I'm only running a cab-1.
