How to fix H10 smokebox color?

Hello all,

After over a year of saving money, and going through about half-a-dozen different choices, I finally have a Legacy Steam Locomotive, the brand new Lionel Legacy Western Allegheny H10 2-8-0. Perfect engine, except for one cosmetic anomaly - the bright silver smokebox.

My question is, what is the best, easiest, and quickest way to darken down the smokebox color? Thanks in advance.
