You don't need a campground. You can stay right on the fairgrounds at York. I have stayed there many times in our 40' diesel motorhome.

  • $40 for the whole show.
  • 30 amp electric service is available in all the parking spots.
  • There are some newer spots on the far side of the track that have 50 amp electric.
  • Water is not available at all the sites, so make sure your fresh water tank is full when you arrive.
  • There is a single dump station on the fairgrounds.

You should contact the TCA about an RV Permit now. I doubt that the all the RV spots on the fairgrounds will be full, but you never know.

If you really want a campground, the Ben Franklin RV Park is nearby. I stayed there once and didn't like it. It is near a freeway on ramp with many trucks using their Jake Brake to slow for the ramp. Noisy.

The only other RV park that is close is the Indian Rock Campground, but I know nothing about this one.

Beyond these two, you have to go much further away from York, east on US 30 towards Lancaster and Strasburg. With the heavy traffic on US 30, they are 45 minutes from the York Fairgrounds.
