Identifying Lionel Repros

I am wanting to learn more about identifying repros of the rubber men Lionel used on the 50 Gang car ( and other motorized units/cars). There is a brief description in the 2000 TCA booklet "Post War Lionel Reproduction Handbook" by Joe Aalgozinni-but I seeem to remember a more extensive descrition with better pictures somewhere-? TCA Quarterly, CTT, OGR ??. Does anybody remember? Thanks in advance, Turtle7
