I'm pretty new to model RR, so I may be missing something obvious, but here goes.

I have a small realtrax layout (image attached) with an inner passing loop, using two switches.Multi-loop layout

When I activate the 1st switch (closest to the wall) it brings the train into the inner loop, where upon reaching the second switch the anti-derail triggers the 2nd switch and keeps the train in the inner loop.

Next I activate the 1st switch again which release the train to the outer loop. The moment the engines makes contact with the track just outside of the switch the anti-derail triggers the second switch so the train can enter it once it makes its way back around to that part of the track via the outer loop.

HERE IS THE PROBLEM: If I add cars to my train, it doesn't clear the 2nd switch before the engine exits the 1st switch and the anti-derail goes crazy tripping the switch back and forth and shuts the whole thing down.

Is there a way to wire the switches so the anti-derail won't trip the 2nd switch until the train enters it from the outer loop?

You have to go about this methodically - disconnect the 2nd switch from the layout one leg at a time and try to duplicate the action with just pushing the train by hand(no loco) on the 1st switch and see which connection is cross-connecting to the trigger rail(on the straight portion) of switch 1. The problem appears to be some lack of insulation on the trigger rail of switch 2 that is somehow getting intermittently grounded when the train traverses switch 1.
