Few things to check

First make sure the engine program/run switch is in the run position

check and make sure the engine is set up in the remote as a steam engine

and in Legacy mode. Put another engine on the track and make sure the Legacy

remote runs that engine so you know the system is hooked up correctly.

If none of this works we would need more info

Alex

Alex, thank you.  I tried what you suggested.  Unfortunately, it didn't work.  But it got me thinking  and I deleted the engine from the remote, and installed the engine on the remote and reprogrammed  the engine as well - just like I was setting it up for the first time.  It worked.  Thanks again   for   your   help.
