Hello:
I have not used my Legacy system in over a year as I tore down my layout to rebuild. Last night I fully recharged the batteries and placed the remote in the cradle for several minutes. Nothing. The remote does not display anything. Replaced the batteries with newer ones and still nothing. Anything I can check before contacting Lionel?

Are the "newer" batteries good and in correctly? A friend had some generics for his Cab-1 and they were too short.
You said you replaced the remote in the cradle and nothing...did you press the red on button?
Batteries are good and properly inserted. Yes, red CTC button was pressed.
Have you tried just regular alkaline batteries in the Cab2? (Note turn off charge circuit on bottom of Legacy base)
Update: I sent the Cab-2 remote into Lionel and they replaced a resistor. All works great now!
