The matched set of Lehigh Valley Tug and Lehigh Valley Railroad freight barge 79 are sailing from a pier in Tribeca in Manhattan. Here is a link to the info.

They are open for tours starting tomorrow and through the weekend. The barge is a true rarity the last floating wooden frieight barge. They are both restored and the Barge has O scale models of Barge and tugs evolution as well as a restored cabin.

They replaced the Steam engine with Deisel in 1953.

Joe you caught it in its usual berth in Red Hook. I used to work at the pier in the background. There used to be some PCCs stored until recently behind the Fairway there.
