I just got a Lionel 18205 Union Pacific from 1989... its looks brand new runs great but on curves not always.... it will derail.. Lionel instructions say it will run on 031 and higher curves like 042 or 054 etc... But wondering if anybody has had any experience with either some problem I might be able to correct or just it will be better to use wider curves... Thanks for the info.. daniel

check the front truck...see if it's binding or obstructed that was my problem with 8100...cheers

Thanks for the response! The problem was between the frame and motor chassis .. their is a plastic guide .. I lubed it so their would be no drag.. ran it after that and hugs the track PERFECTLY... daniel
