Lionel 6-85174 Southern Crescent Black Paint Scheme - Narrow Whistle Quilling Range?

Hello,

I recently purchased the Lionel Black Southern Crescent SKU 6-85174. The "range" of the quilling whistle seems to be very tight compared to other Legacy steam locomotives i.e. the tone change is barely perceptible when I quill the whistle. Does anyone else have one of these locomotives and noticed a narrow quill range? Just curious to know if I've got a done, or if its normal for this model.

Mine has a small quill range as well. Maybe it’s just how the sound file is set up?
