I have 2 lionel heritage csx ac6000s and the volume on them is no where as loud as any of the other lionel engines i have.. I tried the volume pot and the remote to raise it.. I even tried swaping out the 16ohms speaker for 2 8ohms and it didnt help either .Anyone else have these engines and think the volume is low on them?

I would suggest replacing the volume pot. I have a Lionel SD70ace with the same issue.
We have the Santa Fe AC6000. Has a lower volume than our other TMCC/Legacy engines.
I was under the impresion that Lionel had to reduce the maximum volume, for some sort of legislation regarding a limit on db for toys. Ah Health and Safety got to luv em

Our WP F3 appears similarly constrained.

Hey Nick. I've got the SF AC6000 too, but the volume on it can drown out most of the other engines I run. I've had to lower it about a third to conform. Strange, huh?
