A few months back OGR had an amazing article with pictures about two F3 prototypes from the Lionel archives. At the end of the article there was mention of more to come, but nothing so far. I honestly usually only get OGR and pass on any other O magazines due to constant lack of meat in the CTT articles. This month I grabbed a copy just because of the article on Lionel prototypes. I've often wondered why the magazines seem to shy away from articles on this subject. Is it lack of interest in the subject? Maybe lack of hard facts on the history of such oddities? I for one would love to see and/or read more about these types of pieces. Would anyone else?

Don't think its a lack of interest, probably the biggest reason is outside of Lionel very few folks have access to the archives and information.  For anyone interested in these types of items, the TM Book Lionel A Collectors Guide and History Volume V: The Archives is a great source of information.  Also some of the TM price guides from the late 1980s and early 1990s have some photos of items in the Lionel archives. The LRRC Inside Track magazine had also a few articles of items from the Lionel archives.
