I installed a 2amp bluerail board and their ac to dc converter. I had to do some pretty small (at least to me) soldering on the circuit board to put it into basic mode. It was running well without the shell, but the boards shorted against each other once I put it on. Luckily no permanent damage. I’ll need to insulate with more than just some electrical tape.
Nix on the electrical tape, consider using heat-shrink for insulation. I hate gooey black tape inside any engine!

Thanks for the tip. I will do that on my wiring connections.
How do you insulate the boards from one another? I was considering a thin cardboard similar to a cereal box, but wasn’t sure if that was the right way to go.
If you have multiple boards stacked together, I normally cut a piece of thin plastic or Styrene sheet to put between them.
