Thanks for posting. I had fun watching.
Charlie, see you bought all three road numbers as well. Was over Johns running mine the night I got them and they are cool. Only drawback is the dummy has no lights or smoke, will have to look for power chassis later on and switch body out.
Very nice D.T&I engines ,also liked the N.Y.C passenger train to .
Wow Charlie,
They sound and look great, your video's are always great. When I make a video it's always so boring.
Thanks, Alex
Man those sound awesome! Thanks for posting Charlie!
Charlie enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing.
Very cool! Love watching the triple heading. Thanks for posting.

Hi Charlie, thanks for posting! Its a really well done video, All the best, Dave
Classy video! Thanks.
Lionel changed the marker light wiring several years ago on their diesels (noticed it first in my Legacy Sharks) where they don't come on unless you're in reverse (the older engines had them lighted when going forward as well). I see these GP-35s are the same.
My Rio Grande versions are coming - may think about wiring in lights so the markers remain on in forward mode. Not sure how to do that - maybe splice into the headlight wiring?
It was fun running the three together but we should have added more cars. As always Charlie gives us a fine video.
Jim
Who is going to repaint them into the Grand Trunk Western scheme?
Andrew
George and I were talking New York Central but Charlie said no.
DT&I engines look great. Will be fun seeing them in September
So I have some very clear memories of these coming down railroad street. I really want the 1776 red-white & blue version. I know DT&I had at least one. Has Lionel or MTH ever reproduced one?
The DT&I 1776 was a GP38-2 Diesel Loco. To get the DT&I 1776 GP38-2 you would have to have Lucas Liska custom paint a Weaver Models undecorated GP38-2 diesel model.

Nice engine. I'm tempted to get one myself.
Not a big deal but I'm wondering why the green marker lamps are off going forward ?

Many of the engines do this now. They will display red correctly at the end of the train regardless of the units orientation. This has been covered here regarding Legacy diesels before and was actually the fix Lionel put in place to remedy previous complaints about marker light functionality in MU.

I didn't know that. thanks
I have the Chessie legacy GP30 (has green markers) and I'm thinking about getting the Chessie GP35 to run it as a MU.. Except for the horn they sound identical.
