Lionel HHP-8 electric loco specs.

I know Lionel's HHP electric will navigate wide-radius curves...does anybody know if one will swing around 0-27 track? The engine wheelbase looks like its on 11-12" centers, which ought to make it 0-27 compatible--the question is whether or not it could do this pulling any 0-27 passenger cars! If it can, I imagine the Talgo-styled power trucks would make this doable--anyone with one of these units able to test this out? Many thanks for the courtesy of a return reply! John2k
