Hey All, I just bought a new Lionel Milk Car that said it works with Lionel Fastrack. I assumed since the MTH Realtrax I have are roughly the same width, I’d be able to use my MTH activation track. I should have done my homework better. Apparently the Fastrack has a piece that comes off so it fits in the new milk car platforms.
Short of buying a bunch of adapter tracks, does anyone have a suggestion for how to get the platform to fit with the MTH track?

MTH had a milk car platform designed to fit their Realtrax as well as tinplate. The stock number was 30-9063. The chrome plate that slid into the frame came in two widths to reach the car. I'm not sure if it's still made, maybe someone else can say. Try contacting MTH. Hope this helps.
At least one person trimmed part of the ballast from the sides of their Realtrax operating track to get it to work with an older Lionel milk car/platform.

Thanks, everyone! I thought about trimming the piece, but I was able to find the MTH platform on eBay. I had no idea that existed! Order placed and should arrive next week in time for the Christmas trains I setup every year for the kids. Thanks a million!
