Lionel powermaster issue

I have an issue with my power master. I have it hooked up to transformer then from power master to atlas switch. I will be running trains for 10-15 minutes or so then the power to track starts going in and out! If I run a second train with it the issue occurs sooner. I changed the fuse in plug and checked all wiring and issue still occurs. I stopped using it as don't want to damage electronics. I hooked same transformer to my tpc powering a different track and it ran fine And hooked to this track without issue. Am I missing something or did power master just go bad. I have it for about 5-7 years. It seems like whatever controls voltage regulation has gone bad.

Dale Manquen can repair PM's but I'm not sure it's worth it. Maybe you should just stick to the TPC it's a better product anyway and works with both the CAB1 and Legacy systems without additional hardware.

It is a 135/180 Power master. The Mrc dual transformer tells me 18 volts to power master drawing 5-6 amps when 2 loco's are running drawing 4 amps for one. The k-line volt car shows the track is receiving 17-18 volts. I have the power master hooked to one side of Mrc with the switch set to 135 on power master as transformer is 270. the power to track starts to flicker after 10 min or so. Using same transformer, track setup and tpc 300 no issues. At first I thought it was transformer reaching its 7.5 amp capability. If there is another way to measure at track would be happy to learn and try. Thx
