Anyone know the approx. size and weight of one of these in the box? I'm having a issue with an seller on that major auction site.

From my notes: Master carton measures 36x19x19 and weight is just over 26 pounds. Hope this helps!

All I know is that it is huge and due to its layout, it was really hard for me to work it in the layout, but I am limited by 30 inch wide sections too. Even so I like it enough that I kept it just in case I have more room later. Kind of the same reason I kept the big swing bridge...just to neat to part with just yet

I didn't put two and two together but I knew I saw your name before. Again, sorry about the shipping issues with the backshop. I tried UPS, USPS and fedex and they were all $100 plus. All told me it was a compound issue between the size of the box and the distance from NJ to CA. Hopefully you'll be able to grab one locally.

I've shipped large items from Ky. to Ca. a few years ago by Greyhound.They offer larger dimensions and cheaper rates,you just have to go to a Greyhound station to ship/receive the item.

I had just shipped two large, heavy packages to Georgia so was a bit upset, but figured the best thing to do was get an estimated confirmation, which is obviously why I posted the question. The actual postage would have been just under fifty bucks, which is about what I expected. The penalties for the size was $80+, so nearly tripled the cost. OUCH! The boxes I mailed to Georgia must have just slid in under all the penalty equations. Good thing, I have another one going that way next week and I agreed to cover the postage on the final shipment of the Kusan collection.
Your backshop would have been perfect being as I was looking for a static display.
